Concert Information
Amidst the cold, snow, and ice of a New England winter, the flute/guitar duo of Tracy Kraus and Dave McLellan presents a program to inspire happy thoughts of summer. The program features the Monhegan Suite – A summer day on Monhegan Island by American composer John Kusiak. The suite walks through a sunny day on the famous Maine island, from sunrise to sunset, capturing the essence of the beautiful landscape, people, and atmosphere. The composer will give a short talk before the performance, offering a unique perspective on the creation of the work. Also included are Chronicles of Discovery by Puerto Rican composer Roberto Sierra, reflecting on the discovery of the West by Columbus, dances by Brazilian Celso Machado and more. Enjoy the summer food and drink and relax while we look forward to warmer weather!
This event will take place in the store's second floor event space which is only accessible by stair and is not considered handicap accessible.
